Euless is part of Texas' deregulated electricity market, giving residents the freedom to choose a Retail Electric Provider (REP) instead of receiving service from their utility company.
The average monthly kWh usage in Euless is 991 kWh. However, your household's actual usage may differ depending on your home's characteristics and daily routines.
Like many North Texas communities, electricity usage in Euless often increases during the hottest months of the year when air conditioners work harder to keep homes comfortable. Usage can also vary based on your home's square footage, insulation, household size, and features such as electric vehicles, pools, or additional appliances. Looking at your historical electricity usage before enrolling can help you compare plans more effectively.Ready to explore your options? Gexa Energy offers several electricity plans in Euless for a variety of household sizes and energy preferences. Understanding how each option works can help you select a plan that fits your home's electricity needs.
A fixed-rate plan keeps your energy charges3 more consistent throughout your contract term, helping provide greater predictability from month to month. Many customers choose this option because it offers greater pricing stability throughout the contract term, although your bills can fluctuate based on your usage, TDU delivery charges, taxes, and fees.
Usage credit plans apply a bill credit once your monthly electricity usage reaches a qualifying threshold, such as 1,000 kWh (varies by plan). Euless homes with consistent electricity usage are often more likely to benefit from this structure, because the bill credit won’t be applied if you don’t use the specified amount of electricity.
Free electricity plans include designated periods when electricity usage is not billed at the standard energy charge, often during nights or weekends. If your household can shift more electricity use into those promotional hours, this type of plan may be worth considering. Keep in mind that energy charges outside the promotional period are generally higher, and additional billed charges may still apply during free electricity periods.
Select Gexa Energy plans include smart thermostats and energy optimization features that provide greater visibility into your home's electricity usage and the potential for about 23% savings on home HVAC costs. Through the Gexa Energy mobile app and Gexa MyAccount, you can adjust thermostat settings, review usage information, and manage your account from virtually anywhere.
If your Euless home is equipped with solar panels, solar buyback plans give you a bill credit for the eligible excess electricity your system sends back to the grid ("Excess Energy Credits"). These plans can help you get more value from your solar investment.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging plans are designed for households that regularly charge at home overnight (11:00 PM to 5:00 AM). They offer an energy charge credit when you charge your car during overnight hours, helping make home EV charging more cost-effective.
A variable-price plan has an energy charge that can change each month based on current energy market conditions. While this type of plan offers flexibility without a long-term commitment, monthly energy charges may fluctuate over time, so budgeting can be more difficult.
Flat rate plans have a consistent monthly energy charge when your electricity usage stays within a specified usage limit. If your usage exceeds that limit, additional energy charges apply to the extra kilowatt-hours (kWh) you use. This type of plan may be a good fit for smaller homes or households with predictable electricity usage.
Understanding how electricity service works in Euless can make it easier to compare plans and choose one that fits your household. Your monthly energy charges include the electricity you use, the plan you select, and the cost of delivering electricity to your home.
Companies like Gexa Energy are REPs. We supply electricity plans and rates, manage your account, and provide customer support. Euless residents can choose any REP serving the city.
Oncor Electric Delivery is the TDU for Euless and is responsible for maintaining local power lines, delivering electricity to your home, and restoring service during outages. Like every other TDU in Texas, Oncor charges delivery fees. TDU delivery charges are included in your total energy charges and appear as a separate line item on your account. These charges are regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and are passed through to every customer within a TDU’s service area without markup.
Your monthly energy charges are influenced by several factors that work together throughout the year.
Electricity usage: Seasonal cooling and heating needs, home size, insulation, and the efficiency of your appliances all affect how much electricity you use.
Household routines: The number of people in your home, appliance usage, electric vehicle charging, home offices, pools, and other high-energy features can increase monthly electricity consumption.
Plan structure: Fixed-rate plans, variable-price plans, usage credits, and free electricity periods each calculate energy charges differently.
TDU delivery charges: Regulated TDU delivery charges are included in your total monthly energy charges regardless of which REP you choose.
Begin by reviewing how your household uses electricity throughout the year. Factors such as home size, the number of occupants, seasonal air conditioning needs, electric vehicle charging, and other energy-intensive appliances can all influence which plan structure may be the best fit.
Looking at your average monthly electricity usage can help narrow your options before you enroll.
An advertised energy rate is only one part of comparing electricity plans. It's also important to evaluate contract length, pricing structure, and plan features such as bill credits or free electricity periods to understand how they may affect your monthly energy charges.
Review each plan's EFL to see how pricing works, what recurring charges apply, and whether the plan includes usage requirements or other important details before making your decision.
All Euless power outages should be reported to Oncor Electric Delivery. Report outages to Oncor by calling 888-313-4747, texting ‘OUT’ to 66267, or using Oncor’s outage system.
