Setting Up New Electricity Service In Three Easy Steps!

In just a few steps you can easily sign up for electricity service with us - whether you're setting up new service, switching providers or just transferring your service to a new home. And with a number of great electricity plans to choose from, we're sure you'll find one that's right for you.

1. Provide your service address

Give us the address where you need electricity service and we'll provide a list of plans that could be right for you.

2. Tell us if you are moving

If you're moving, we can help you get your power on the same day if necessary, or you can schedule your new service up to 60 days in advance*.

3. Complete your enrollment

Providing your personal and contact information will help us get your account set up and your electricity service turned on.

Transferring Your Service

If you’re already a customer and just need to move your service to your new home, you can easily take care of it by logging in to My Account online customer service with your user name and password. Not registered yet? Sign up for online access to your account now!

You can:

  • Schedule your service start date at your new address up to 30 days in advance.

  • Request a same-day move in for service at your new house, but charges from the utility may apply.*

Disconnecting Your Service

If you’re moving your household to an area that is not serviced by Gexa Energy, you can call us toll-free at 866-961-9399 to disconnect your service.

*Requests processed after 2:00pm (CST) will be connected the next business day, weather permitting. Depending on utility, one-day service may be offered Monday through Friday, weather permitting, where an existing meter is in place. No weekend or holiday connections. Enrollment and permit requirements must be met before a request can be processed. Additional charges and advance meter requirements may apply.

Gexa Energy purchases renewable energy credits (RECs) from renewable generation resources throughout North America to match 100% of the energy sold under your electric plan.  The RECs Gexa purchases represent the renewable attributes of power generated from a variety of renewable energy sources, including, but not limited to, the sun, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, wave or tidal energy, and biomass or biomass-based waste products, including landfill gas.
