Types of Energy Plans in Texas
Gexa Energy offers a wide array of customized energy plans so that you’re able to find one that makes sense for you. Let’s take a look at each of them.**
Fixed-Rate Plans
A fixed-rate electricity plan allows you to select a plan and price that is appealing to you and lock it in over a set period. These plans usually range from 12 to 36 months and provide you with the ability to plan and better control your monthly spending.
Variable-Rate Plans
With a variable-rate plan, the price of your electricity bill may change each month. This price can be influenced by factors such as supply and demand.
Usage Credit Plans
With this plan, you can lock in a great price for 12 or 24 months and receive a Usage Credit when your electricity use is equal to or above the specified range.
EV Plans
The Gexa SavEV 12 and 24 plans offer you 100% savings on EV energy charges for nighttime charging, 365 nights a year by pairing to the Gexa365 platform.
Smart Device Plans

Gexa Energy purchases renewable energy credits (RECs) from renewable generation resources throughout North America to match 100% of the energy sold under your electric plan. The RECs Gexa purchases represent the renewable attributes of power generated from a variety of renewable energy sources, including, but not limited to, the sun, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, wave or tidal energy, and biomass or biomass-based waste products, including landfill gas.
