Demand curtailment measures don't need to be complex or significant. Turning off lights and raising air conditioning temperatures could be all you need to do. For greater impact and potential savings, you could implement a more sophisticated load management approach with real-time adjustments to production processes or utilization of your on-site generator.
Energy Reduction: We work with you to identify where you can reduce energy while maintaining business operations.
Program Evaluation: We evaluate demand response programs available based on your location and facility requirements and enroll you in a plan that maximizes your payout and keeps any risk to a minimum.
Event Notifications: When a demand response event is called, you will receive a notification to reduce usage during a certain period of time (typically a two-hour window).
Compensation: You will be paid for reducing your demand for energy (and perhaps even the energy you did not use) based on your program’s specifications.
System operators and utilities will provide financial incentives when you reduce or shift your demand away from the times when the overall demand for energy is high so that the stress on the overall utility grid is reduced.
Reducing demand improves the reliability of the grid. Less demand means less stress on energy transmission and distribution systems, which makes them less likely to fail.
Reducing electricity when demand is highest often results in lower index prices. As demand for power decreases, less efficient and often more expensive forms of electricity generation are not needed, which helps keep energy costs in check.
Our comprehensive energy management plan for the sophisticated energy buyer allows
full flexibility and freedom to harness market opportunities and mitigate risk.
Gexa Energy purchases renewable energy credits (RECs) from renewable generation resources throughout North America to match 100% of the energy sold under your electric plan. The RECs Gexa purchases represent the renewable attributes of power generated from a variety of renewable energy sources, including, but not limited to, the sun, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, wave or tidal energy, and biomass or biomass-based waste products, including landfill gas.
*The Energy Charge charged by Gexa Energy on fixed price plans is fixed and will not change during the initial term of your plan. The Energy Charge associated with variable price and month to month products may be higher or lower each month. For fixed and variable plans, the total price of your electricity may be adjusted to reflect changes in TDU charges, third party fees, or changes in law or regulation that result in the imposition of new or modified fees or costs on Gexa Energy. See Electricity Facts Label and Terms of Service.
