Gexa Energy Underwrites Retail Space In Uptown Park For Children’s Art Project Boutique

At a time when non-profit organizations are struggling to cover their expenses and raise funds for worthwhile
causes, Gexa Energy has announced it is joining AmReit to underwrite retail space at Uptown Park for The
Children’s Art Project Boutique, the first retail location dedicated exclusively to merchandising original
artwork of young cancer patients at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
The Children’s Art Project Boutique, open Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm, offers a variety of seasonal
note cards and gift items decorated with the original artwork of young cancer patients at M. D. Anderson.
The store also merchandises ornaments, books, ceramic plates and mugs, t-shirts, tote bags, wrapping paper
and gift tags, note cards and more.
Besides underwriting the Uptown Park space, Gexa Energy is donating $25 to the Children’s Art Project for
every new residential customer who signs up for the company’s six-month, 12-month or 24-month electricity
service plan under the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Art Project promotion. Gexa Energy’s fixed
rate plans guarantee the commodity portion of the rate for the term of the plan.
