Press Release

Dallas’ Premiere Downtown Outdoor Music Venue To Be Named Gexa Energy Pavilion

DALLAS, TX January 27, 2011

Live Nation is proud to announce a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Gexa Energy that includes the naming rights for the downtown Dallas amphitheater previously known as Superpages.com Center. Effective today, the amphitheater will now be called Gexa Energy Pavilion.

Gexa Energy provides electricity service for residential and commercial customers throughout the Metroplex and most areas in Texas. The retail electric provider entered the Texas deregulated energy market in 2002.

“This investment underscores our commitment of supporting the communities we serve,” notes Victor Howard, Gexa Energy’s senior director, marketing and customer care. “It is certainly one of the most visible sponsorships our company has undertaken.”

Gexa Energy Pavilion will play host to an array of performers in coming months. Performers in recent years include Roger Waters, Jay-Z, No Doubt, Journey, Tim McGraw, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, John Mayer, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Opened in 1988, Gexa Energy Pavilion has hosted over 600 concert events for over six million patrons, making it the Metroplex’s premiere and longest running outdoor facility dedicated solely to live concert events. The venue is part of Dallas’ Fair Park complex, which includes museums, an aquarium, gardens, the Cotton Bowl, and hosts the Texas State Fair annually.

“Live Nation is so pleased to enter into this marketing alliance with Gexa Energy, expanding upon our current sponsor relationship,” said Maureen Ford, Venue Network President at Live Nation. “Gexa Energy’s commitment to the community and green energy and our positive work experience with their company makes this a great fit.”
