GEXA ENERGY BREAKS DOWN PRICE BARRIER FOR “GREEN” POWER
Lower Prices Expected to Spur Renewed Interest in Wind Power

Houston, TX - September 10, 2007

In an effort to spur additional interest for renewable power, Gexa Energy announced today an aggressive price reduction of its renewable energy power plan by as much as 14 percent. The move is designed to make wind-generated power more affordable for Texas households who have not switched to wind energy due to price.

Gexa Green, the company’s month-to-month 100% wind-generated power plan, is now priced at .115 per kilowatt hour in the CenterPoint service area; .112 per kilowatt hour in the TXU service area; .11 per kilowatt hour in the AEP Texas Central Area; and .116 per kilowatt hour in the AEP Texas North service area.

Gexa earlier announced a reduction of its green power plan in early August.

“This is another huge step in the promotion of renewable energy,” says Gexa Energy’s Collin Coker, who adds the new pricing levels are among the lowest offered for renewable energy on powertochoose.org. “There has always been a strong interest in wind-generated power, but most customers were unwilling to pay the higher price. We anticipate these new price points will generate significant interest among those looking to support the development of renewable energy which ultimately makes it more affordable for use in their homes.”

Coker explains Gexa Energy is able to offer the new pricing as a result of its relationship with FPL Energy, the largest generator of wind power in Texas and the U.S. Gexa Energy is an indirect retail subsidiary of FPL Energy.
