SUPERCUTS SIGNS ELECTRICITY PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH GEXA ENERGY
Houston, TX - May 28, 2007
The business best known for cutting hair is now looking to cut its electricity costs.
Supercuts has signed an electricity purchase agreement with Gexa Energy for 19 of its company-owned locations in Houston and the Dallas metroplex. The agreement also allows the more than 300 Supercuts employees in Houston and Dallas to secure Gexa Energy's Friends & Family residential rate. Supercuts operates 10 company-owned locations in Houston and nine in the Dallas area.
"These types of arrangements represent a big win-win for businesses," says Gexa Energy Vice President of Sales and Marketing Les Owen. "They create a savings for a company’s bottom line and give their employees the opportunity to save on their light bills at home."
Gexa Energy (PUCT #10027), the wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of FPL Group, is a retail electric provider servicing residential and commercial customers throughout Texas. Having entered the Texas deregulated market in 2002, Gexa Energy serves close to 180,000 customers in Texas alone.
