Gexa Energy Welcomes Scott Kelly to Commercial Sales Team

HOUSTON, TX - November 9, 2009
Scott Kelly, a longtime retail energy professional, has joined Gexa Energy’s commercial sales team as a
Director of Sales, Small and Mid-Markets.
In his new role, Kelly will develop and implement sales strategies forcused on expanding Gexa Energy’s
small and mid-market commercial base while providing leadership and guidance to the sales organization.
Prior to joining Gexa Energy, Kelly served as a Regional Sales Manager for Reliant Energy where he assisted
customers in developing and implementing their energy management programs. Kelly also directed sales efforts
for Reliant Energy’s homebuilder and multifamily segments during his 18-year career with the company.
Besides his extensive retail electricity sales background, Kelly has supervised all phases in the construction
and maintenance of transmission and distribution infrastructure, from designing electrical map layouts to
negotiating easement locations and representing customers to mayors, city councils and other municipal
personnel.
“Scott’s knowledge of the transmission and distribution sides of the business provides a real added-value
for the customer,” says Gexa Energy’s Vice President Sales Collin Coker.
In the community, Kelly has served as a Cub Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, as a baseball coach
for the Cy-Fair Sports Association and as a softball coach for the Cy-Fair Girls Athletic Association.
