with us. Recently the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) adopted new requirements standardizing certain
disclosures to residential and small commercial customers. The details of the new requirements are specified in PUCT Substantive Rule
25.475, which can be found on the PUCT website.
A Few of the Terms and Format Changes
Electricity Facts Label
- The Average Monthly use is calculated at 500, 1000, 2000 kWh
- The price listed now includes all charges and fees except state and local taxes - The fee components
include recurring Transmission and Delivery Utility (TDU) charges and monthly fees for the Electricity Reliability
council of Texas (ERCOT) and PUCT Assessment
- A listing of the product renewable content percentage
Terms of Service
- A standardized outline explaining the price calculation
- A list of non-recurring charges and fees
- Notice of fixed rate term expiration prior to the end of the contract term
Your Rights as a customer
- Additional information on how a customer may qualify for low income benefits
